With so many entertaining and educational school assemblies and library shows for kids, it’s easy to forget I also perform library shows meant specifically for adults. And why not? We adults like to be entertained. We liked to learn new things, hear stories about our local landmarks, and experience that same thrill as those young and vivacious elementary school children. Until now my adult shows were geared towards horror-loving thrill seekers who want their socks scared off. Obviously scary stories and artifacts don’t appeal to everyone. For those who want something a little more amorous but still captivating, look no further than my “Romantic Tragedies” Library Show for adults!
Beyond Romance Novels
You might be surprised to hear romance fiction is a billion dollar industry. Adults love romance novels. From historical tocontemporary, spiritual to science fiction, mystery to suspense, there is a sub genre for everyone.
“Romantic Tragedies” is a story-driven program with tales of love, loss, and nostalgia from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. This program presents historical stories regarding famous couples such as Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, Annie Oakley and Frank Butler, John Dillinger and Billie Frechette, and many others
