Halloween is wonderful because of all the fun, goofy imagery and more. It stimulates children’s imaginations and gives them something fun to look forward to.
But it’s more than just fun. Halloween helps children in their social development and building self-esteem!
Halloween brings us together as a people in the form of parties, games, and even Trick Or Treating.
With all of the fun of Halloween, there is always a potential for bad things to happen – stranger danger, hazards from running around in the dark, and so much more.
That’s where “Spooky Magic” comes in. In this fast-paced, goofy Halloween magic show extravaganza, I deliver some important safety tips designed to get kids (and the parents and teachers watching) thinking about safety during all the Halloween mayhem.

Halloween Safety Tips…Without Being ‘Preachy!’
Don’t worry! This is not a preachy kind of Halloween magic show at all. Most of my school assembly programs are full of life lessons and curriculum-based concepts, but in “Spooky Magic,” I deliver these lessons with a lighter touch. This time of year is when the kids have a ton of sugar coursing their veins. That means a heavy-handed approach would be rejected. During the “Spooky Magic” Halloween show, the lessons are lighter and less intense.
Some of the safety tips include:
– The importance of reflective material on costumes
– Letting parents inspect all candy before eating
– Staying away from unfamiliar houses and neighborhoods
– Putting away mobile devices and electronics while walking
– Sticking in groups when traveling
– And more!
“Spooky Magic” is a feast for the eyes! Kids love the colorful Halloween-themed set design with my large Jack O’ Lantern-style backdrop, banners, and haunted house imagery. There are custom-designed magic props specifically built for this Halloween magic show. It’s the only time of year many of these magic effects see the light of day or night!
I offer programs to both schools and libraries. I offer versions of “Spooky Magic” perfect for smaller spaces in a library. and if your event is being held in a school for several hundred people, I bring out the big stuff both in terms of set design, state-of-the-art PA system, and bigger props and fun!
An Amazing Magic Show That Celebrates Halloween With Safe, Not-So-Scary Fun!
My funny and amazing “Spooky Magic” show is filled with customized-for-Halloween-themed magic, safe and silly scares, antics involving ghosts, Frankenstein’s Monster, and many others!
Because Halloween is so important to kids, I ensure that the show is customized for your group based on both the size of the audience and age ranges. For younger kids, the emphasis is on silly, non-frightening fun. For older kids? I have fun ‘danger-style’ magic that will appeal to more jaded guests! While each show is different and unique, here are some highlights:
- A spooky ghost is captured and brought into the audience, causing everyone to squeal with delight!
- A trained “snake” jumps out of a basket to find a selected object! (NOT a real snake!!)
- A “spider” keeps reappearing causing me to scream in fright and the kids to laugh at my plight!

- A drawing of Frankenstein’s Monster comes to life!!
- A mysterious monster’s EYEBALL floats in the air!!
